112 years of tradition with plenty of new surprises!
Beginning in 1899 as a one-day festival for employees of Amesbury’s various mills, Amesbury Days has grown into a 112-year-old multi-day program of events, activities and celebrations drawing people from within and around the city. The 8-day celebration begins on the last Thursday in June, and ends on the second Saturday in July.
Amesbury Days offers every something fun for every member of the family: free concerts, Kids Day in the Park, the Town-wide Yard Sale, museum tours, art festivals and cookouts, and more.
Each year’s celebration is punctuated by our explosive pyrotechnics display at Woodsom Farm. One of the few remaining fireworks displays on the Fourth of July, the spectacular show of lights and sounds continues to grow to the crowd’s delight.
